Our Story

 It was November 7th 1998 when (Front man) David “Vox” Mullen & (Drummer) D. Jay Hattula first sat down for coffee in a family restaurant in the west suburbs of Chicago. They had met each other online both with the intentions of “starting a band”. To this day, each of the 2 men will tell you that he found the other. They agreed to form Slipstream in the hopes that the band that would be different then all of the other music that was coming out of Chicagoland at that time. As they began the process of looking for more musicians, (Guitarist & D.Jay’s Brother) Dylan Hattula came to an early band practice and was immediately added to the band.  The band had almost everything they needed in order to rock, but when the band’s long time friend (Bassist) Daniel Blackburn showed an interest in joining the group and a willingness to move back to Chicago from Florida, Slipstream was finally complete.

Today, the band consists of 4 guys who all share a love for music. Their mission is to share an experience with the listener that is unique and personal yet altogether entertaining.
